On behalf of our hosts David Kaplan & Dan Lacovara, OUTWORDS board chair Scott Galea, and OUTWORDS founder Mason Funk, we are thrilled to invite you to a casual bagel brunch on Sunday September 28 from 11am-1pm to celebrate The Future of OUTWORDS.

We’re calling this gathering The Future of OUTWORDS because:

• it’s a pre-party for our 10th anniversary in 2026
• it’s a chance to toast OUTWORDS founder Mason Funk on the eve of his departure
• we’ll share some news (and ask for your ideas) on how OUTWORDS will dramatically evolve and grow in our second decade

As you know, OUTWORDS records, preserves, and shares the stories of LGBTQ+ elders to build community and catalyze social change. At our founding June 2016, OUTWORDS may have seemed a bit like a victory lap for all we had accomplished as a movement.

Today, we’re at war again — and OUTWORDS is on the front lines, saving lives and helping ensure that a fundamental piece of our existence — our history — can never be erased. Learn more and get inspired here.
